A reception window and a private meeting room rarely need the same finish.

Keep a Welcoming Front Window
For a shop or client-facing office, we'll talk about how much you want people to see from outside. A highly reflective film may add daytime privacy, but it can also make displays or the interior harder to see.
If you want people to see inside, we'll compare less reflective solar films and look at the glass from both sides. We'll choose a shade based on the glare you're dealing with, rather than starting with the darkest film. Our commercial window film guide explains more of the options.
Separate Public Areas from Private Work
Interior offices, consultation rooms, and glass doors may benefit from frosted film or carefully placed bands. We'll check the coverage from standing and seated positions, including corridors and entrances. People can still see through clear details in the design.
Switchable film is another option to discuss when privacy is needed only at certain times. Our Beverly Hills law-firm project provides a nearby Los Angeles-area example of that application.
Window Film for Your Home
A street-facing living room may need daytime privacy, while a bathroom or entry may need film that obscures the view. Reflective film doesn't guarantee privacy once it's brighter inside than outside. Frosted finishes work differently, though silhouettes can still show depending on the lighting and how close someone is to the glass.
If a seat beside the window gets too hot, we'll look at sun exposure and suitable heat-control film separately from privacy. A decorative finish alone doesn't tell you how much heat a film will reduce.

Your Free Sherman Oaks Consultation
Schedule a free consultation and we'll visit your Sherman Oaks property to look at the windows, work areas, and where you need privacy. We bring samples, take all the measurements and project photos, and answer your questions. We'll check the glass construction, coatings, sun exposure, and condition, including compatibility with dual-pane or low-e windows. Then we'll give you a price on the spot for suitable film options and the windows you're considering. You don't need to do any prep for the consultation.
If you lease the space, we'll discuss who needs to approve changes to the glass. We'll also plan access around desks, merchandise, or furniture and go through pricing and installation arrangements. Care and curing instructions will depend on the film you choose.
Sherman Oaks Window Film FAQs
-
Not necessarily. Different areas may need different coverage, but we'll look at how the windows will appear together from outside before installation.

Frosted film screens the view but doesn't provide soundproofing, so keeping conversations private needs a separate solution. We'll check what people can see from corridors, entrances, and seated and standing positions. Clear design details remain see-through, and some finishes can show silhouettes depending on lighting and distance. We'll talk about what you want hidden and whether bands or fuller coverage will do the job. Not every frosted design gives the same level of privacy.

Different treatments can keep reception visible while giving workspaces more privacy. Exterior windows may need solar control, while interior glass needs screening. We'll compare less reflective solar films where visitors should see inside, consider frosting or bands for private offices, and check how it all looks from both sides. Reflective daytime privacy changes with the lighting and can't reliably hide the space after dark.
