Frosted Privacy Window Film for Bathrooms and Offices
Frosted privacy window film gives bathroom windows, entryway glass, and office partitions a translucent finish that blurs detailed views while letting light through. We install it in homes and businesses across Southern California.
We'll help you choose a finish and coverage that give you the privacy you need and suit the look of the room.

Privacy That Does Not Depend on Daylight Outside
Frosted film obscures the view through the glass it covers. It doesn't need the outside to be brighter than the room, as reflective daytime privacy film does.
That makes it useful for glass partitions inside a building and rooms you use after dark. It also changes what you can see from inside: you won't have a clear view out through a fully frosted area.
The level of privacy depends on the finish. Strong lighting behind someone, or standing close to the glass, can make silhouettes visible through some films. For a bathroom, private office, or another room where privacy is important, we'll check the lighting and where people can see in before helping you choose.
Full Coverage, Privacy Bands, and Clear Details
Covering the whole pane gives the glass an even frosted look. Covering just part of its height can screen an office work area or a view from the street while leaving clear glass above.
A frosted band across a glass wall might give privacy to someone sitting down, but we also need to check the view from nearby walkways. Clear borders, cutouts, and patterns leave areas people can see through. Our conference-room frosted-band project shows how a band can line up across several glass panels.
For an office or business, the design can include a logo or other detail where it makes sense. We'll check the placement carefully so a cutout doesn't leave a desk or private room exposed. See decorative window film for more design options.

Your Free Frosted Film Consultation
Book a free consultation and our team will come out to check the glass and see where you need more privacy. We'll bring film samples, take all the photos and measurements, and answer your questions. Once we've checked what suits your glass, you'll get a price on the spot for the film and installation you choose. There's no need to take photos, measure the windows, or look up glass specifications beforehand.
We'll help you choose the finish and band height, and make sure the design lines up across neighboring doors and panes. We can talk through any design ideas during the visit. In wet or exposed areas, both the film and where it's fitted need to suit the conditions.
Once you've chosen the film and layout, we'll discuss when we can install it and how to care for it. Film goes onto suitable existing glass, so you don't need to replace it with etched glass.
Not sure how much glass to cover? Book a free consultation and we'll help you plan the privacy you need.

Frosted Window Film FAQs
-
Frosted film still obscures covered bathroom glass after dark because it doesn't rely on brighter light outside. How much someone can see depends on the finish, coverage, lighting, and distance from the window. During your consultation, we'll check whether silhouettes could show through and make sure the film and where it's fitted are suitable for any moisture or exposure.
-
You generally won't have a clear, detailed view through a frosted area. If keeping that view matters to you, we can talk through other privacy options and their limits.
-
No. Translucent frosted film lets light through, though how bright and softly lit the room feels will depend on the product. Opaque blackout film blocks the light instead.
-
Film can generally be removed professionally from suitable glass. What's involved depends on the product, how old it is, the surface it's applied to, and its condition.
-
Frosted film is usually chosen for privacy and appearance. If heat is a problem too, we'll check the particular film's solar performance separately.
