Frost Film for a Pilates Studio in Brea, CA
For this commercial window film project in Brea, California, the owner of this beautiful Pilates studio wanted to create a space where clients could feel comfortable and enjoy greater privacy from the exterior without sacrificing the studio’s bright, open atmosphere.
The solution was a combination of 48” frost film bands on the exterior-facing glass and custom frosted film incorporating the studio’s logo on select interior glass panels.
Frosted window film was installed at this Pilates studio in Brea. Rather than covering the entire glass, we applied a 48-inch privacy band, leaving the top and bottom portions clear to maintain a bright, open feel.
The Goal: More Privacy Without Losing Natural Light
The studio has large areas of glass that bring in a lot of natural light, but they also allowed people outside to see directly into workout areas.
The owner wanted clients to feel more comfortable and have privacy during classes, but she didn’t want to use a dark film that would reduce the amount of light entering the studio.
Privacy frost was a natural fit.
Frosted window film obscures visibility through the glass while still allowing light to pass through, helping create a more private environment without making the space feel dark or enclosed.
For a Pilates studio, where a bright, calm, and inviting atmosphere is important, that balance made a big difference.
Frosted window film gives clients more privacy from outside foot traffic while still allowing natural light into the Pilates studio.
48-Inch Privacy Bands for the Exterior Glass
Instead of frosting every window from top to bottom, we installed 48-inch privacy bands across the exterior-facing glass.
This gave the studio privacy where it was needed most while leaving portions of the glass clear.
Using privacy bands rather than covering the entire window allowed the studio to:
Reduce direct visibility into workout areas
Maintain natural light throughout the space
Preserve the open feel of the studio
Create a clean and consistent appearance from the exterior
Add privacy without using curtains, blinds, or dark window film
The height of the frost bands was selected to provide privacy for clients while leaving portions of the glass clear to maintain the studio’s open feel and add a unique design element.

Custom Frosted Window Film With the Studio Logo
Privacy film can also become part of a business’s interior design.
For several of the studio’s interior glass panels, the owner wanted something more customized. We incorporated the Pilates studio’s logo directly into the frosted film, creating a branded design that served both a functional and decorative purpose.
The result was a polished look that felt intentional rather than simply adding film for privacy.
Custom frosted window film adds an extra level of design, privacy, and branding to glass. It can incorporate logos, patterns, graphics, or custom designs to create a more polished and intentional look while still serving a functional purpose.
It’s a great option for glass offices, conference rooms, treatment rooms, fitness studios, salons, medical offices, storefronts, and other commercial spaces where privacy, aesthetics, and branding can work together.
The studio logo was custom-cut into the frosted privacy film, creating a clean, professional look that blends privacy, design, and branding.
Why Frosted Window Film Works Well for Fitness Studios
Businesses such as Pilates, yoga, barre, and fitness studios often have large windows and glass walls that create a bright, open atmosphere. At the same time, clients tend to feel more comfortable when they have privacy and don’t feel exposed to people passing by or looking in from outside.
Frosted window film helps solve that.
Unlike darker privacy films, frost does not rely on significantly reducing visible light to create privacy. Instead, it blocks people from seeing through the glass while allowing the space to remain bright.
It can also be customized in different ways, including:
Full frosted glass coverage
Privacy bands
Stripes or decorative patterns
Custom logos
Gradient or ombre look
Business names
Branded graphics
Designs that combine clear and frosted sections
This makes it easy to tailor the film to the layout and design of a business.

A Clean, Professional Finish for This Brea Pilates Studio
For this project, the combination of exterior privacy bands and custom interior logo film gave the studio a cohesive solution.
The exterior glass now provides clients with more privacy, while the interior branded frost adds a professional detail that complements the studio’s identity.
Most importantly, the space was able to maintain the natural light and open atmosphere the owner wanted.
