Huper Optik Fusion Window Film

Huper Optik Fusion offers three reflective solar-control films for homes and commercial buildings. Fusion 10, Fusion 20 and Fusion 28 each balance daylight, glare reduction and appearance differently. Their separate interior and exterior reflection ratings make this family useful to compare when both the street view and the view from inside matter.

WindowTint.biz helps you evaluate those trade-offs at your property. We bring samples, assess and measure the glass, answer questions and quote the proposed work during a free in-person consultation.

Choose around the room and the facade

An office beside a long run of sunny windows may need strong glare control, while the property manager wants a consistent exterior. A homeowner may welcome a darker view in an especially bright room but want to understand how the windows will look from the garden.

Fusion is worth sampling when a reflective appearance is acceptable and solar control is a priority. It deserves closer comparison with lighter options if retaining daylight or keeping the exterior change subtle is more important. We look at both sides of the glass before narrowing the choice.

Fusion 10, Fusion 20 and Fusion 28

The following manufacturer figures apply to each film on 1/4-inch (6 mm) clear float glass. They are a comparison reference, not a rating for every existing window assembly.

Fusion 10

  • Visible light transmission: 11%

  • Total solar energy rejected: 77%

  • Glare reduction: 88%

Fusion 20

  • Visible light transmission: 20%

  • Total solar energy rejected: 69%

  • Glare reduction: 78%

Fusion 28

  • Visible light transmission: 27%

  • Total solar energy rejected: 65%

  • Glare reduction: 70%

Fusion 10: the strongest light reduction

Fusion 10 is the darkest current Fusion option. It has the highest solar-energy rejection and glare-reduction figures in this family on the stated reference glass. Compare it when a space is very bright and a substantial reduction in daylight would be welcome. It also has the highest listed exterior reflection of the three, so facade appearance deserves particular attention.

Fusion 20: the middle option

Fusion 20 sits between 10 and 28 in light transmission and solar control. It is a useful side-by-side sample when Fusion 10 feels too dark but glare remains an important issue. For an occupied office, check the view from perimeter desks and from the interior circulation areas where the change in brightness may feel different.

Fusion 28: the lightest current Fusion choice

Fusion 28 transmits the most daylight of these three options, with a measured reference value of 27%. It still makes a meaningful change in brightness and reflection. Compare it with Fusion 20 when you want to keep more light while retaining a reflective solar-control treatment.

Interior and exterior reflection deserve separate attention

On the same 6 mm reference glass, the manufacturer lists exterior/interior visible reflection as 51%/19% for Fusion 10, 39%/21% for Fusion 20 and 34%/20% for Fusion 28. The interior figures are close even though the exterior figures differ more substantially. A darker shade name does not automatically mean more reflection on both sides.

Lighting still affects what you see. We compare samples from normal viewing positions and discuss evening use if the space stays occupied after dark. A lower interior reflection figure does not guarantee a reflection-free view at night.

Planning a consistent installation

For a larger building, we review the glass types, existing film, access and appearance across neighboring panes. We also discuss any property-manager or architectural approval needed before installation. The proposed scope should identify the film and areas to be treated so a phased project stays coherent.

Questions about Fusion window film

Does Fusion provide one-way privacy all day and night?

No. Visibility changes with the balance of indoor and outdoor light. A reflective film may limit views into a brighter-outside space during the day, but it should not be relied on for nighttime privacy.

Can Fusion be applied to any commercial window?

No single film suits every assembly. We check the exact glass construction, coatings, condition, dimensions and shading against applicable film-to-glass guidance before recommending a product.

Will the solar rejection figure match my energy savings?

No. It describes the rated film-and-glass combination. Cooling costs also depend on the building, sun exposure, shading, equipment and use. We do not convert that percentage into a savings promise.

What should I compare if I want a different appearance?

Compare the Ceramic family for a wider range of light levels or the Traditional family for silver and bronze options. We can bring an appropriate sample selection and review the written warranty for the recommendation.
