Huper Optik Traditional Window Film

Huper Optik’s Traditional family offers silver and bronze reflective films for architectural glass. These are options to consider when the exterior appearance can change and reducing solar heat or glare is a priority. Choosing within the family means deciding on both a color direction and an acceptable level of daylight reduction.

WindowTint.biz brings samples to your Southern California home or commercial property during a free in-person consultation. We assess and measure the glass, answer your questions and quote the recommended installation on site.

Start with the appearance you want to keep or change

Reflective film becomes part of the way a property looks. A silver finish may suit one facade while a warmer bronze tone fits another. The window frames, surrounding materials and glass already in place influence the result.

We compare the sample from indoors and outdoors, including the view across adjoining panes. For a commercial building, this discussion may involve a property manager or an architectural approval process. For a home, it may include how the treated windows relate to untreated windows, glass doors and neighboring properties.

The four Traditional options

Where figures appear below, they come from the model-linked manufacturer specification on 1/4-inch (6 mm) clear float glass. They describe those rated combinations, rather than guaranteed performance for your existing windows.

Silver 18: strong solar control with a silver-reflective look

Silver 18 is a darker silver option, with 17% visible light transmission, 80% total solar energy rejected and 80% manufacturer-listed glare reduction on the stated reference glass. It is worth comparing when strong light reduction is acceptable and the reflective appearance fits the property. Pay attention to rooms farther behind the windows, where preserving daylight may be more important. Silver 18 technical specification.

Silver 30: a lighter silver alternative

Silver 30 is the lighter silver choice to compare when you like the silver-reflective direction but want to retain more visible light than Silver 18. Put the samples side by side and look at the change across the whole window, from both the occupied room and the exterior. This comparison is especially useful when appearance consistency matters as much as treating one bright area. Silver 30 product sheet.

Bronze 25: the darker bronze choice

Bronze 25 provides the stronger solar and glare control of the two current bronze options on the stated reference glass. Its figures are 22% visible light transmission, 73% total solar energy rejected and 72% glare reduction. Consider it when a warmer color suits the property and a darker view is welcome. Check the color and reflection from inside as carefully as the exterior tone. Bronze 25 technical specification.

Bronze 40: more daylight in the bronze pair

Bronze 40 transmits more light than Bronze 25, with 39% visible light transmission, 59% total solar energy rejected and 56% glare reduction on the reference glass. It belongs in the comparison when you want a bronze treatment with a lighter interior. Existing glass color can affect the finished tone, so it is particularly helpful to view samples across representative windows. Bronze 40 technical specification.

Reflectivity, daylight and privacy are different decisions

A reflective appearance does not establish privacy under every lighting condition. At night, a brightly lit interior can remain visible from outside. We discuss evening use and any separate privacy treatment you need before selecting the film.

Likewise, the strongest solar-control figure does not automatically make a film the best fit. A darker selection can reduce unwanted brightness at one window while removing daylight you enjoy elsewhere. We consider the pattern across the rooms or facade rather than selecting from the largest percentage alone.

Questions about Traditional window film

Can I mix silver and bronze films on a property?

Different areas can be evaluated separately, but the appearance across adjoining glass needs careful consideration. We discuss a coherent plan and any building approvals before defining the installation scope.

Will a reflective film work on my existing glass?

Suitability depends on the specific film and window assembly. We review glass type, coatings, condition, pane sizes and shading using applicable manufacturer guidance. Existing film and preparation also affect the work.

How is Traditional different from Fusion?

The Fusion family offers three alternatives with separately stated interior and exterior reflection figures. Comparing samples is useful when the view from inside matters as much as the reflective facade.

How much will it cost?

We measure the glass and review access, preparation and the selected product during the visit. Your on-site quote sets out the recommended scope, and we explain the applicable written warranty details.
