LLumar Decorative and Privacy Window Film

LLumar decorative window film can soften a view through glass, create a private area or add a pattern without replacing the pane. The right finish depends on what you need to hide, how much light you want and where people will be looking from.

WindowTint.biz helps homeowners and businesses compare these choices throughout Southern California. At your free on-site consultation, our team measures the glass, brings samples, checks sightlines, answers questions and prepares a quote.

Start with the view you want to change

Clear-looking and transparent colored films leave a view through the glass. Frosted and textured finishes scatter light and soften detail, with different levels of screening. Opaque finishes obscure the view more fully, but an opaque white can still pass light. View-blocking and room-darkening are separate choices.

A bathroom beside a walkway needs a different approach from a meeting room where you want to soften distractions. We compare samples with the room's lighting and the distance between the glass and anyone inside. Strong backlighting and a person close to the pane can make silhouettes more noticeable.

Our frosted privacy film guide explains the broader approach. Within LLumar, the following groups make it easier to narrow the look before choosing a specific finish.

Compare the LLumar decorative finishes

These are the names in LLumar's current decorative catalog. We confirm the chosen finish, material and availability for your installation before quoting the final selection.

Matte Frost

A starting point for a consistent frosted appearance. Compare softer screening with denser finishes rather than assuming every white sample hides the same amount.

Dusted Crystal (NRMV80DC PS3); Dusted Crystal Poly; Dusted Frost; Etched Frost (NRMV60F PS3); Frost (NRM PS2); Glacier (NRM55 PS4); Matte Snow; Mist (NRM80 PS2); Silver Sparkle.

Color Frost

Warm or cool color can tie privacy glass into the room. Compare it against the walls and flooring, especially across several neighboring panes.

Bronze (NRMB PS2); Dusk; Graphite; Silver (RMS PS2).

Textured Frost

These choices introduce a more textured glass effect. Look at both the close-up surface and the overall view across the room.

Brushed Crystal (NRMV BC); Frosted Glass; Frosted Sparkle; Sandblast; Satin Crystal (NRMV SC); Satin Crystal Clear.

Nature

Water, ice and leaf-inspired effects add visual interest. Some retain more recognizable views than others, so the pattern name alone cannot establish privacy.

Crackled Glass (NRMV CG); Freezing Rain; Frosted Leaves; Ice Crystals; Pebbled Ice; Subtle Waves.

Pattern

Stripes, bands and geometric designs work well when you want a deliberate repeated layout. Clear spaces within a pattern remain important sightlines.

Bands (NRM FB); Barcode; Fluted Glass; Frosted Tiles; Grey Pinstripes; Medium Etched Stripes; Metro; Mini Blinds; Pinstripes; Privacy Stripes; Small Etched Stripes; Stripes (NRM FS); Squares (NRM FSQ); Thin Lines (NRM FTL); Variated Stripes; White Blinds.

Textile

Fabric-inspired finishes suit interiors where you want a softer visual texture. We compare how the pattern reads beside upholstery and other finishes.

Acid Etch Crossweave; Cotton Crossweave; Cotton Fiber; Diagonal Crosshatch; Loose Weave Linen; Matte Linen Crossweave; White Linen Crossweave.

Specialty

This group includes transparent colors, view-obscuring white and black, light diffusion and separate temporary options. White Light Diffuser, White and 100% White Out are different products; we compare samples for the actual screening and light level you want.

Black (NRMM PS2); Blue; Green; Red; Temporary Black Out; Temporary White Out; White (NRMW PS3); White Light Diffuser; Yellow; 100% White Out.

Gradient

A gradient changes across the pane. Its denser section needs to land at the height where you want screening, with lighter portions considered as part of the design.

Banded Fog Gradient; Dot Matrix Gradient; Mini Dot Matrix Gradient; Mirrored Mini Dot Matrix Gradient; Static Gradient.

The manufacturer finish sheet lists these options. LLumar also explains its frosted finishes and specialty and temporary films.

Plan the coverage around the room

Full coverage can suit a bathroom window or a concealed storage area. A band can screen a seated meeting while leaving the upper glass open. We check standing views too, including the approach from a hallway or pavement; a band that looks right from a chair may leave a direct view from another angle.

For multiple panels, we plan the direction of stripes, gradient height and pattern alignment. Pane size and the selected film's width determine whether a join is needed. We explain its position before installation, along with any clear borders or cut-out lettering. Those details affect both the appearance and the privacy.

Long-term decorative film can be removed when the space changes. Temporary Black Out and Temporary White Out are separate options for short-term needs such as screening a storefront during work. We check the surface and intended duration rather than treating temporary and long-term films as interchangeable.

Questions about LLumar decorative film

Can I have privacy and daylight together?

Often, yes. A translucent frost or suitable texture can pass light while obscuring detail. How much screening you get depends on the exact finish, lighting and proximity to the glass. We demonstrate those differences with samples.

Will a pattern provide bathroom privacy?

Some patterns leave clear openings or show silhouettes. We assess the entire view, including after-dark lighting, before recommending a bathroom finish. A decorative privacy description also does not establish compliance with a workplace's legal privacy requirements.

Can it help with afternoon heat?

Decorative appearance alone does not establish solar performance. If the window also makes the room hot, our team checks the glass and compares appropriate options. Adding a second film over an existing one requires specific approval.

What affects the price?

The finish, glass area, access, removal of old film and complexity of bands, patterns or cutouts all matter. We take the measurements and explain the installation and applicable written warranty at the visit.
