XPEL VISION Window Film for Homes and Offices in Southern California
You may love the daylight but wish the room were more comfortable. Or you may need privacy around a meeting table or glass front door. XPEL VISION is XPEL's architectural window film range, with solar, decorative, and safety and security options for different needs.
WindowTint.biz offers XPEL window film for Southern California homes and businesses. We'll help you narrow the choices during a free visit, with samples you can compare in your own space.
Start with the room that needs the most help
For a bright living room, the goal may be to reduce solar heat while keeping the windows relatively light. At an office desk, stronger glare control may matter more. A storefront adds another question: how should the glass look to customers outside?
XPEL's Clear View range includes Clear View Plus, Clear View Ceramic and Clear View Alloy. These offer different combinations of light transmission, solar performance and reflectivity. Clear View Plus 70 is one example to compare when daylight is important; a darker option may be more suitable when a very bright window needs stronger shading.
The wider VISION solar range also includes Daylight, Dark Neutral, Evening View, Blend DR, Silver and Bronze products. These give us different appearances and performance levels to discuss. Names alone don't settle the choice. We'll look at the actual shade, interior and exterior reflections, and the way the film works with your glass.
For an office or retail property, our commercial window film page covers the wider installation considerations.
Compare heat, brightness and reflections separately
Three details make a useful film comparison:
Visible light transmission: How much visible light passes through the tested glass-and-film combination. Lower figures generally mean a darker appearance.
Total solar energy rejected: A broader solar-performance measure than a single infrared rejection number. Compare films using the same test glass and conditions.
Interior and exterior reflectivity: The appearance can differ depending on which side you view and how the space is lit.
A high infrared rejection percentage does not mean the same percentage reduction in your electricity bill or room temperature. Window direction, glass area, shading, insulation and air conditioning all affect the result.
We'll explain the specifications while you compare samples. Our west-facing window guide covers the particular challenges of afternoon heat.

Decide whether you need a view through the glass
Some reflective solar films can make it harder to see inside during daylight, when the outside is brighter. That privacy depends on lighting. At night, an illuminated room can become visible from outside, even when the daytime effect was strong.
For glass where the view needs to be obscured, XPEL lists decorative products including White Frost and Dusted Crystal, along with Black Out and White Out options for different coverage and light-control needs. These products do not all look alike or transmit the same amount of light.
We'll compare finishes and coverage in person. A conference-room privacy band, a fully covered pane and a treatment that blocks the view more completely solve different problems. Frosted effects may still reveal nearby silhouettes, so the desired privacy level matters. Read more about the choices in our privacy window film guide.

Discuss safety and surface damage as separate concerns
XPEL VISION includes clear security films and solar security variants. These are intended to help hold broken glass together. The appropriate film, glass, framing and any required attachment system need to be considered as a complete installation. Film cannot make a window unbreakable or guarantee intrusion prevention.
XPEL also lists anti-graffiti films for surface protection. A removable protective layer for exposed glass addresses a different concern from retaining broken glass. Tell us what problem you're trying to solve, and we'll explain the appropriate category and the limits of the proposed option.
Make sure the proposed film suits your windows
Before recommending a specific XPEL product, we assess the glass and its condition, coatings, pane construction, sun exposure and access. The manufacturer's film-to-glass chart identifies application conditions and situations requiring further approval. Interior and exterior products are not interchangeable.
We base the quote on the windows being treated, selected product, preparation or removal work, and installation requirements. We'll review the scope with you and explain the written warranty for your chosen film, including any conditions that apply to your windows.
A few questions we can answer during the visit
Do I have to cover every window?
We can assess a single problem room, one side of a building or a wider installation. We'll explain how selective coverage may look alongside untreated glass.
Will every VISION film provide the same UV protection?
No. Check the selected product's data, especially when comparing solar and decorative products. UV reduction can help limit one cause of fading, but it cannot stop all fading.
